HASHORA PROJECTRunning a Full Node
Learn what a full node does before Hashora's official node software is released.
Pre-launch guide
What is a full node?
A full node downloads and independently validates the blockchain according to consensus rules. It can relay transactions and blocks, helping the operator verify the chain without trusting an explorer.
A node is not the same as a miner. A node validates the network; mining hardware performs proof-of-work calculations.
Before you begin
- Use official, verified releases only.
- Allow for disk use to grow; final requirements are not known.
- Keep security updates enabled.
- Keep RPC credentials private and bind administrative RPC to localhost or a trusted private interface.
- Expose only the documented peer-to-peer port.
- Never publish wallet keys or secrets in logs.
Installation steps will follow the release
- Verify the release checksum using official instructions.
- Install the supported build.
- Configure network and data directory.
- Start the node and monitor synchronisation and logs.
- Confirm connections and validation.
Do not open ports or run unofficial binaries based on guessed defaults.
